For this project I was assigned designing the packaging of the upcoming liquid lipsticks and glosses of the brand G.ara. At first I design a colorful variety of lipstick boxes, each one with a color associated with the name of the product.
Since different color lipstick boxes could be quite expensive here in Argentina, I also designed another option, that would keep most of the original designs but would only include the two primary colors of the brand, soft pink and muffled gold.
Once I presented my designs the client's feedback was getting rid of the drawings and unifying the packaging for all the products. To distinguish them we would use stickers at the top of the box.
This is the first design of the lipstick bottle. Just like the first boxes I liked the idea of incorporating the drawings highlighting the name of each lipstick and gloss.
Since my client had a limited budget they decided to unify the bottles just like the box, and just adding the logo. The following are the different ways I played with the logo.
This was the one that the client chose.
And these were the final designs for the boxes. The colors deepened and I added the frase "Love is Love" which is the name of the line.
